The Educators – Multan Region hosted 14th Annual National Speech & Debate competition at Shahjahan Banquet Hall Officers Colony Multan for session 2017-2018.The event witnessed and assemblage of over 30 participants, representing South, North, Faisalabad, Center and Multan regions. To encourage young speakers, distinguished guests from each region including regional heads poured in. School heads, teachers and parents also added charm to the function. Project Director Mr. Shahid Saeed Butt joined in as Guest of Honor accompanied by GM Sales & Business Development Mr. Ayaz Ali Khan and General Manager Academics Miss Noreen Dogar.
To gauge the competition on fair grounds, Miss Sara Bilal (Ex.Principle B.S.S, Multan) and Miss Lubna Yasir (Assistant Professor Education University) judged the English speakers. For Urdu, Miss Nighat Iftikhar (Assistant Professor Urdu Women University) and Miss Fareeha Khan (Assistant Professor,Urdu) lent their services for judgment. Senior Manager Marketing, Mr. Rana Ehtesham and Senior Manager Finance, Mr. Wali Mohammad Khan were also kind enough to attend this auspicious occasion. Speech & Debate Competition started with Holy Name of ALLAH Almighty.
Firstly, primary speech competition was conducted which was then followed by secondary debate competitions. School choir of Farid Town Campus and colorful performances of pre-schoolars from Premier campus captivated the audience. In the end, Chief Guest Mr.G.R Pasha (Ex.Dean Science & Agriculture Department B.Z.U) and Guest of Honor Dr. Atif Akbar (Assistant professor B.Z.U) awarded the winners with trophies and certificates. In his address, Dr.G.R.Pasha appreciated our young speakers and the efforts of Regional Manager Multan, Mr. Shahzad Hussain and his team in conducting a successful function. Esteemed guests were also adorned with Multani Ajrak as a souvenir for attending the function in Multan. The event concluded by a thank you note by Project Director Mr. Shahid Saeed Butt. The event was well covered by members of press from both local and national broadcasting mediums.
